Aditya Kaushik
VOLUNTEER
Aditya is a rising freshman at UMass Amherst majoring in mechanical engineering with a passion for space exploration, CAD modeling, and 3D printing. He founded and served as Director of his high school’s Rocketry Club, where he taught members how to design, 3D print, and launch rockets. Through this experience, he developed strong skills in aerospace engineering and teamwork.
In addition to his work with the Rocketry Club, he worked in journalism as a staff reporter for his school newspaper, where he covered various school and community events.
He has previously interned at the Boston Museum of Science, serving as an Exhibit Operations Intern, repairing and maintaining exhibits while gaining insight into their engineering.
He also interned at Symbionic, a company dedicated to creating affordable prosthetics for the Indian market. At Symbionic, he designed and 3D-printed custom prosthetics, and witnessed first-hand how innovative engineering can improve human lives.
Last year at Aurelia Institute he worked on ideation and animating concepts for TESSERAE self-assembly. This year, Aditya he is contributing to the design and engineering of TESSERAE self-assembly systems.
He’s also an avid Star Wars enthusiast and 3D printing aficionado, combining these interests to 3D print a suit of Mandalorian armor and many other Star Wars memorabilia.
