Beyond the Cradle 2024 | The Eclipse: Aligning Earth and Space

Aurelia Institute, the Space Exploration Initiative at MIT, and the MIT Media Lab invite you to join via webcast on Thursday, April 4

Aurelia Institute is excited to co-present the eighth annual Beyond the Cradle event at MIT.

This day-long event will celebrate humankind and the cosmos, at the intersection of science, art, design, and engineering. But as the last few years have taught us, we can’t accurately envision life in space without examining, protecting, and empowering our life here on Earth. On April 4, we will weave together stories of Earth and space to co-design and build out compelling visions of our interplanetary future.

Join us as we explore the realm of the Anthropocosmos!

Featured speakers:
Dr. Sara Seager, Class of 1941 Professor of Planetary Science, Professor of Physics, and Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, MIT
Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen, formerly NASA’s Associate Administrator for the Science Mission Directorate
Dr. Gordon Osinski, Geologist on NASA's Artemis III mission
Author Samantha Harvey
Space Architects Melodie Yashar and Brent Sherwood
